Welcome to Blight. Blight is a up-and-coming hardcore, free-roaming true survival-horror game. In it, players take control of a group of survivors set in an alternative 1940s era timeline. Here the world has ended as we knew it (or as anyone from the 1940s knew it), and the players must do everything they can to survive.
Players essentially start in a SafeHouse, where they can store equipment, talk to each other, and idle among other things. From there, players must go outside and scavenge for food, equipment, and ammunition. All of this will be revealed more as time goes on. But the basic mechanics of the game focus on surviving and exploring.
(First SafeHouse Blocked In)
All players on the server, share a group of characters, each character only has 1 life to live. So this means, if a character dies that character is dead forever, and players can no longer play them. Once all characters have died, the game is over and the world is reset. Again, a full in-depth explanation will come later.
(A Rough in of an Undead Zoo)
Players can expect themselve to experience a wide variety of creatures, ranging from vampires, to werewolves, and of course the all famous zombie which roam the streets, often in hordes and provide a challenge to players attempting to navigate as they scavenge. As new enemies are encountered, players will often require more supplies and better equipment to advance through these tougher areas.
And this is where a lot of the Survival experience is encountered. As players require supplies to continue to live they must venture out into more hostile sections of the world, and scavenge/loot areas. If a player is running low on ammo, they will have to conserve their shots, or attempt to not be seen by the enemy in general while they scavenge. The world is large, and relatively free to explore, but plenty of things block your paths, including enemies. On top of that, when you only have one life to live you'll have to be smart about who you engage, where you run to, and whether or not you're willing to go back to save a friend who's been cornered.
(A Rough in of an Undead Zoo)
The world in Blight is a dynamic one, with factors changing throughout that keep players constantly on their guard when exploring. As players move throughout the world, so do enemies, while the road you may of taken to get to that fancy new weapon may of been clear on the way there, your return journey to the SafeHouse may be met with a large horde of zombies blocking the street, requiring an alternative path.
The world is free-roaming, players are free to run around which way they please, yet all levels have many obstaclse that players will have to over come. New areas, including shortcuts can be discovered and unlocked throughout exploring. Much of the world's loot, and encounters are randomly generated through various scripts that keep every adventure through a familiar place unique and tense. Overall Blight is a game where players are meant to explore, where they're meant to think, conserve ammo, try and find ways around problems, and to overall survive in a fun, challenging style of gameplay.

More on Blight will be introduced throughout it's creation, with plenty of insider looks at how things work behind the scenes as they're developed, and improved.
